3 More Earth Day Freebies and Deals

What are you doing this Earth Day?

I’m going to buy toilet paper.

No joke.

Yes, I know. I know. Earth Day started out as an education day. I get it. Earth day is every day around here. Officially, Columbus had their Earth Day volunteer day last Saturday when more people could attend without taking a day off work so as far as celebrating goes I did it early.

I don’t knock Earth Day specials. I get emails and hear from folks who want to go greener but find that it’s more expensive. Not always, but I can’t deny that some green and organic products cost more money than their conventional equivalents and in this economy everyone is watching their pennies more closely.

If a coupon or deal is jump-start you need to try something new I say have at? If it’s an affordable way for you to keep on keeping on. I’m right behind you sister (or brother)!

Three Earth Day Freebies and Deals

  • Loweshome improvement stores are giving away free trees.

  • Starbucksis giving away a free cup of coffee or tea when you bring in a reusable travel mug. This might be just what you need to get into the travel mug habit!

  • White Cloud is offering 50% more in their GreenEarth 100% post consumer recycled content toilet paper and paper towels packages in celebration of Earth Day. That is the equivalent to three free rolls of toilet paper or one free roll of paper towels! You can save an extra dollar by printing a White Cloud coupon on my sidebar. I’m not sure what of if there is a print limit. It let me print four coupons yesterday in preparation for a grocery shopping trip.

Earth Day Twitter Party

If you can’t get out and about on Earth Day, how attending a Twitter Party?

White Cloud is hosting an Earth Day Twitter Party Friday, April 22, 2011 from 1 - 2pm CST (2-4pm EST.) White Cloud will be discussing tips, tricks, and creative ways to celebrate go green and celebrate Earth Day. I’m sure that White Cloud is going to mention that White Cloud Green Earth just got FSC (Forest Stuartship Council) certification. That means that the fiber used to make White Cloud Green Earth is from sources with certified forest management practices. Yay!

White Cloud will be giving $25 Walmart gift cards away throughout the Twitter party to random participants. You don’t need to RSVP to win prizes. Double, yay!

To participate, log on to Twitter and follow @WhiteCloudMom and the hashtags #green #earthday see all of the tweets. You don’t have to be a mom to participate. I’m not a Mom and I’m going to be there. Will you?

If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, you can find me @CondoBlues.
