It’s as if he knows me or something.
Even during the summer rerun season. I’ll watch shows I have already watched because I’m starved for design TV.
That ends tonight at 9 pm with the new season of HGTV’s Design Star ! Whoo!
Design Star Season Six Designers, Host Tanika Ray, and Mentor David Bromstad
I’ve been a fan since the Hunky Tattooed Designer (what I called David Bromstad until I learned his name) won Season One and followed it with host, judge, and format changes all the way to Season Five.
To be honest, last season the new producer and format changes was a test. I really tried to like it but endless group challenges did not allow any of the designers to show who they were until the show was practically over! Design Star Season Five felt a little meaner too. Like Survivor with paint rollers. If I want to experience that kind of thing, I would have gone to my last high school reunion.
I think Design Star learned from Season Five. I have high hopes for Season Six. Design Star looks like they are trying to lighten the mood with the always sunny Tanika Ray and David Bromstad. I always thought Design Star needed a separate person to mentor the contestants because designing and judging for TV is different than designing for real world clients.
And David Bromstad is easy on the eyes so there’s that.
What do you think? Are you going to watch Design Star tonight?
