I’d like to blame it on the ever climbing postage rates or
trying to be more environmentally friendly but that would be a lie. The truth
is I suck at sending paper cards.
Ecards I can do but recently stopped because some of my not
so computer savvy family were using ecard sites that were really covers for
malware and viruses. These days, I post a quick “Happy Birthday” status update
on their Facebook wall. It gets the job done but its not very pretty or
personal but at least its virus free.
I think I found my compromise, Kisseo eCards, although truthfully I use the Kisseo eCard Facebook app more because all of the people I send cards to (if I actually sent paper cards)
are on Facebook.
Kisseo has over 5,000 cards for any occasion. You can use
the app to send and receive cards for free. However if you pay to become a
premium member (paying via Facebook credits), you can send select from all of
the available cards from every category and send an unlimited number of cards. I think the premium cards are cooler because they have sound and
are animated. My favorite so far is the card I sent to my best friend that has Chihuahuas playing Happy
Birthday on the piano. We dog moms stick together!
Musical doggies!
If you are into Facebook games like Husband, Kisseo has a game component too. When you send Kisseo cards to your friends on Facebook, you become that person’s guardian angel. If someone else sends your friend more cards, they become your friend’s new guardian angel. I don’t have the patience for Facebook games (please don’t send me game requests. I don’t play them.) so I’m using the app the send cute and virus free ecards to friends in lieu of paper cards.

Disclosure: Kisseo supplied a premium membership for this review and it did not influence my ideas, thoughts, and opinions about this product.
Further Disclosure: I really do stink about sending cards out on time if at all. Sorry Mom and Dad I know you raised me better than that.

I have sent holiday cards usually the last week of December. I figure at least I got them out!
ReplyDeleteI stopped send Christmas cards a few years ago, when I stopped receiving them. This year I did send them out because I have a brand new granddaughter & wanted to show off pictures of my grandchildren.
