My Homemade Green Cleaner Labeling Privileges Have Been Revoked

I make homemade green cleaners. I know exactly what is in them, making them takes a few minutes, and they are less expensive. For the most part, my homemade cleaners clean the same or, as in the case of my homemade daily shower cleaner, better than their store bought counter parts. Woot! Woot!

I store my cleaners in empty and repurposed spray bottles. I finally got around to making labels for the bottles  I worked too hard on my half bathroom remodel to ruin the granite counter tops with a homemade vinegar based cleaner from the other bathrooms by mistake!

I gave up printing designs in super cute and colorful ink because the cartridges in my inkjet dried out. AGAIN!

I went with black laser print ink that never runs dry instead of plunking down $80 for color ink cartridges to do a whim project. Since I could not do super cute and colorful label designs, I went with decorative fonts.

Granite Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner

Things started to get weird.

Vodka Fabric Refresher – Not for Doggies, I Don’t Want to Share. (I use pet safe Green + Clean fabric refresher for Blitzkrieg furniture and surfaces.)

Laundry Stain Remover – Lady MacBeth’s BFF

WATER – In Case of Wicked Witch attack or wrinkly clothes. Either way, you’re covered.

Then I started having fun with the project.

Be afraid.

I switched the bottle of my straight up undiluted vinegar kitchen counter, microwave; window cleaner and vegetable wash from this

To this

Vinegar for cleaning – If ingested, be prepared to get pickled. Mmm…pickles…

Air Freshener for uh, YOU KNOW (This bottle has to sit on the bathroom counter.
Husband has Out of Sight Out of Mind disease and a high fiber diet. You do the math.)

I attached the labels with Mod Podge to the repurposed spray bottles.

Husband says I’m absolutely forbidden from showing you the label I made for the toilet tank.

*sigh*

What did you do last weekend?

I really need to make labels for my homemade cleaners! These are cute - and inspiring!

Two questions - what's in your laundry stain remover? I've been looking for a good one for forever!

And I love the bottle for your Air Freshener - where did you get it?

Thanks!
~Emily @ Live Renewed

P.S. I'm a green blogger too, and looking forward to meeting you at Blissdom!

Laundry Stain Remover Recipe - 1 part liquid detergent to 3 parts water. I bought a plant based liquid detergent that didn't work in my HE machine. I tried this an alternative so I wouldn't waste it. I like it better!

Air Freshener bottles - Stanley Steamer (the carpet people) are locally based and sponsor 5Ks.Every year they have sample of a carpet cleaner in the race pack. I save the bottles for stuff like this.

Emily I'm looking forward to meeting you IRL too!

I love this post! Thank you for posting it. I want to start using my own cleaners. We are using natural cleaners right now, but once our stock gets low, I think I will try it out.

I am visiting from WFMW today, and glad I did!

Awesome labels! Why did you have to say you can't show us one of them? Now I want to see it! lol I tried making my own shower and tub cleaner last week (1 part vinegar to 1 part dawn dishwashing soap) and I can't get over the smell, and it's half diluted! How do you handle cleaning the kitchen with straight vinegar?!

Vinegar smell doesn't bother me. It goes away quickly after it dried unlike those fake flower scented cleaners I used to buy. Pickeling 17 pints of pickels last summer helped me get over the smell real quick!

I've been thinking of making my own cleaning solutions too. I'm just tired of using countless products who's ingredients I can't even read. Love your labels too. So cute! p.s. I'm your newest follower :)
