How to Make Cute and Simple Christmas Gift Jars

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand provided by ShurTech Brands, LLC for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. There are affiliate links in this post for your convenience.

I made dried pumpkin treats for two deserving and out of state doggies who love to exchange Christmas gifts. Well, their humans like to exchange Christmas presents. The dogs just go along for the ride.

I saved two empty natural peanut butter jars from a fate worse than the recycling bin. The BPA free plastic jars are a good size and will survive shipping, but they are a little plain.  Let's change that, shall we?

This year Duck Brand®  released two new EZ Start Printed Packaging Tape designs for the holidays, Peppermint and Ornaments. I plan  to use them to give a little punch of fun when I ship the Christmas gifts.

EZ Start Printed Packaging Tape makes the shipping box look more festive, don't you think?

I figure if I am going to use my samples of EZ Start Printed Packaging Tape on the shipping box, why not use it to repurpose  and recycle my peanut butter jars?

Since my jars hold Christmas gifts, I put the everyday Purplse Daisy and Midnight Paisley  EZ Start Printed Packaging Tape to the side and used the holiday designs for my project.

I'm a little sweet on Duck Brand ® because they are based in Ohio. You know how I like supporting Ohio businesses!

I know most folks use EZ Start Printed Packaging Tape to ship packages but it is fun to use in crafting too! Duck Brand® loves to see your #EZstart projects pinned on Pinterest.

Empty jars with lids

Printed Packaging Tape - Updated 12/9/2016: Unfortunately Duck Brand discontinued the prints they gave me for this sponsored post. I suggest you use printed Happy Holiday packing tape,
polka dot or chevron , or holiday printed packing tape for sale on Amazon here

Craft knife

Make it:

1  Cut a piece of  printed packaging tape to size and apply it either vertically or horizontally to your jar. I let the designs determine how I covered my jars. I applied the Peppermint tape around the jar horizontally. I applied the Ornaments tape  around the jar in multiple vertical strips.

2. Continue covering the jar area with pieces of printed packaging tape. Match up and overlap the design on the tape as needed until you cover the entire area of the jar.

3. Cover the top of the jar with printed packaging tape. Match up and overlap the design on the tape as needed.

4. Use the craft knife to carefully trim any printed packaging tape from the center of the jar lid.

5. Use the craft knife to carefully trim the top and bottom of the printed packaging tape on the jar to make a straight and even edge as needed.

6. Fill the jar and give the gift!
