I used it a lot when I was a single gal and had the vintage enamel table I now use as my craft table as my kitchen table. The tablecloth fit like a charm.
But not now. My kitchen table is an oval table from Husband’s childhood. I favor tablecloths over place mats for this table because it’s

How to Make a Square Table Cloth Fit on a Round Table
I layered a round red tablecloth that is slightly shorter than my table (when I have a leaf in so the table seats four which is pretty much always these days) underneath Mom’s vintage table cloth.
Blitzkrieg approves!
Ta Da! Two short tablecloths layered to make one festive table covering. I got a couple of complements on the layering a design element and not as a all-of-my-tablecloths-are-in-the-laundry-hamper moment. My secret's safe as long as I don't blab about it on the Internet.

I am neither a table cloth or placemat person. I wipe the table if I spill something. But I like your table cloth!
I do the square cloth on the round table all the time!! I love the mexican tablecloth! So very festive!
